I remember when I was still a little kid and had little knowledge about what career was about, we all wanted to be doctors, lawyers and some priest. But moving away from those childish thoughts from the nursery class to the primary class down to high schools, our thoughts about what we wanted to become changed. Most of us discovered that we were intrested in science, while other's were intrested in arts and commercial classes.
Those who loved science knew that it's not just only studying medicine to become a medical doctors but that medicine had a wide view since they were diffrent medical doctor's(the dentist, the radiographic dept, the nurses.e.t.c)..Science was just so broad and most of us were fascinated about it and moved to pure science, while others moved to applied science and others to engineering. Not forgetting those that loved arts and commercial classes, they discovered that arts and commercial classes was not just about studying Law to become lawyer's but arts also had a wide range of career (accounting, banking and finance, history and international relation, linguistics. E.t.c)
Right now am in college and those dreams of most youth's in the county where I live, are being broken by the educational system in my country, with the government neglecting the educational sector. Not only that before I got into college, I wanted to study computer science or mechanical engineering cause I had love for the both of them, but right now am studying physics. Not every one can move away from their dreams to something else related to it, but right now I love the course, cause I have the passion and will.
I decided to chase a dream of being a physicist cause a dream which is not interpreted is like a letter which is not read. Most people in my country are chassing after broken dreams in college's cause they have no other alternative. But the question is, how can you chase a dream when there is no will, passion or something to motivate you? I went back to my high school days and looked at my report card at the end of each term and found out that I had a B+ in my physics and had an A+ in my finals I said to myself that it was a calling. My report card motivated me to have passion for the course.
Education is about chasing one's dream and not that of someone else, cause that's the situation of most young people. If one don't build his/her dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs. One dreams can be the answers for tomorrow's question. Cause nothing will have ever worked on earth if God never had a dream in mind to create earth and man.
I choose not to live someone else's dream if it's not mine! I don't know about you guy's, but I will say we all ought to LIVE OUR DDREAMS.
